Bisbee Breakfast Club
After working on Ombre Coffee with the Kite Family, I was thrilled when they asked if I would take a stab at redesigning Bisbee Breakfast Club. This was huge! I loved the original diner in Old Town Bisbee (the jewel of Arizona in my opinion), and had subsequently followed the restaurant’s expansion throughout southern Arizona. Keeping the same funky charm of the original, while buttoning up the overall look, I provided a suite of branding materials to tie the franchise locations together. From experience, I knew Bisbee as a blend of biker, hippy, and surfer vibes, so an aesthetic drawing on hand painted signs that also paid homage to the “B” on the infamous “B” Mountain was the way to go.

Consistency and flexibility were key concepts guiding the redesign. Multiple restaurant locations meant a wide variety of sign dimensions, so we needed an identity mark that could work in a circle, scale wide or stack on a building face, and represent as a small icon for door vinyls. The solution was to use the same typography and palette consistently across applications.
Patterns and secondary marks fill out the suite of graphics, giving the Kite family enterprise an ability to roll out new swag, or change up the look of some locations, with ease.
