This band of characters might be owners of 3 of the best places to eat in T-Town, or might be 3 wild rockers who bring more blood, sweat, humor and energy to every live show they do. Welp, it’s actually both.
Sherbert & Champagne - Raw for a Reason
I was beyond excited to have free reign on designing a cover for their upcoming full length. We talked about our mutual love for the raw, absurd artwork of 80s thrash, and Overton Loyd. There was great reference photography plus loads of freedom to “make it look fucking awesome.” The hand lettering and spot CMYK overlays lend to a “when did this record come out?” feeling that I was after.

Sherbert & Champagne – Sektkült
When the idea of an E.P. with an etching on the reverse side was floated around, and they were gonna name it “sektkült” which is champagne cult in german? I was sold! Design consistency with the first record was important, along with nods to the film the devils, Race with the Devil, the The Church of the SubGenius, witchcraft, canned cold brew, among other things.
